Casa Loma is a historic house museum located in Toronto, ON. Built between 1911 and 1914 as a residence for Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt, it is Canada’s largest castle. Measuring 3 acres in size, the castle contains 98 rooms, secret passageways, an 800-foot long tunnel, towers, stables and gardens. The structure is embellished with Roman-influenced architectural styling and boasts elaborate stonework and marble columns. Present day visitors can explore its grounds and many of its features are open to the public including its luxurious furnishings, original works of art and four acres of landscaped gardens with majestic trees planted over 100 years ago. Each year more than 350,000 visitors stroll through its beautiful edifice to marvel at one of Toronto’s unique pieces of architecture.
