Intestinal parasites are not all that uncommon among humans. In fact, most of us are likely to be carrying them right now unknowingly. The two most common types of parasites are known as, helminthes and protozoa. Helminthes cannot multiple in the body whereas protozoa do have the ability as they only are comprised of one cell. Their capability of multiplying can lead to serious infection.
A few of the more common examples of the parasite types are shown below:
Helminthes: pinworm, roundworm, tapeworm
Protozoa: cryptosporidium, giardia
Parasites are not just limited to the intestines. They can spread around the body through the blood stream until they find a space to grow and mature. When parasites have found a suitable space to live, they feed off the host’s cells in the area and eventually do the same in another area of the body. As the parasites feast, the host is left deprived of vital nutrients. Also, as parasites release fecal matter it is released directly into the body causing toxic harm to the individual.
How can you develop a parasite infection?
Parasites are typically spread through contact with contaminated feces. Most commonly, these pests are transmitted through food, water and soil, but there are numerous other scenarios that can increase risk:
- International travel
- Poor sanitation
- Poor hygiene
- Weakened immune system
What are the symptoms?
Determining if a person has parasites may be difficult to determine solely by ones symptoms. Parasites can live in the body for a great deal of time without any symptoms. If and when symptoms are experienced, they tend to be very general and easy to misdiagnose.
- Abdominal pain
- Bloating
- Gas
- Lack of energy
- Weight loss
- Loose stool containing blood
- Yeast infection
- Passing worms in the stool
What is the treatment?
A parasite cleanse is the best way to ensure you are completely eliminating parasites from all aspects of the body. To fully ensure good health it is recommended to take part in parasite cleansing twice a year (every 6 months). Unfortunately many doctors are not trained in the treatment of parasites. This means only when parasites are visually seen is when a doctor will look into treating an individual.
A parasite cleanse can come in two forms, liquid or capsule and is comprised of anti-parasitic herbs. Most often, the cleanse is 30 days long, where the first 15 days are designed to paralyze the parasites and the second 15 days focuses on destroying the organisms to eliminate them completely. It is very crucial to maintain a good diet during your cleanse to ensure your immune system is in good health.
Colonics and parasite cleansing
While completing a parasite cleanse, it is very beneficial to add colonics as part of your treatment process. Partaking in colonics while on the parasite cleanse will help to free the colon of old toxic matter as well as increase the rate at which the parasites are eliminated. While doing a cleanse sounds great, if your colon is backed-up there is little room for the parasites to be eliminated leaving them to only recirculate through the body. Once these parasites recirculate they have a tendency to latch onto different organs causing more harm to the body.
