Everyone’s health and well-being depend on how well their body removes toxins. A liver flush is a great way to rid of toxins from the body. The liver is one of the hardest working organs and it is the second-largest organ in the body. The liver’s main job is to filter the blood coming from the digestive tract, before passing it to the rest of the body. The liver also detoxifies chemicals and metabolizes drugs. The liver produces the bile needed to digest fat; and store essential vitamins, minerals, and iron.
Liver Flush Procedure
There is no standard formula for a Liver Flush (Gall bladder Cleanse). Although there is a difference in the protocol, all do involve some combination of olive oil, herbs, and juice while lasting 2 or more days. Depending on the source you reference, it may be advised you refrain from consuming regular food during this period.
Before you begin be sure to consume a diet consisting of alkaline-forming foods for 3-5 days prior. Eating an apple once a day during this time will also help to dissolve some stones to help kick start the cleanse. Begin your cleanse around a day that you know you will have the next day to completely rest.
Ingredients
- Epsom salts: 4 tablespoons
- Olive oil: 1/2 cup or 125 ml
- Fresh pink grapefruit: 1 large or 2 small, enough to squeeze 1/2 cup (125 ml)
- 2, 1-liter jars with lid
Step 1: Refrain from taking any medications or supplements the day you begin. Avoid eating any fat or dairy products for breakfast.
Step 2 (2:00pm): Do not eat or drink after 2:00pm. Consuming food or beverages may cause you to feel ill as a result. Mix 4 tbsp of Epsom salts in 750ml of water and place in the jar. This Epsom salt mixture will make 4 servings.
Step 3 (6:00 pm): Drink one serving (3/4 cup) of the Epsom salt and water mixture. Drinking water after or rinsing your mouth out after is recommended.
Step 4 (8:00pm): Repeat step 3
Step 5 (9:45 pm): Pour ½ cup olive oil into a separate jar. Squeeze fresh grapefruit juice over a measuring cup and remove any pulp and or seeds. Add this to the jar of olive oil and close tightly. Shake the jar until watery but do not drink yet. Try using the washroom during this 15-minute gap.
Step 6 (10:00 pm): Drink the mixture standing up within a 5-minute timespan.
Lie down immediately on your right side. The sooner you lie down the more stones will be released. Try to lie perfectly still for 20 minutes before falling asleep. For best results try to sleep in this position afterward.
Step 7 (6:00 am): Take another dose of Epsom salt mixture. Do not drink this before 6:00 am.
Step 8 (8:00 am): Take your last dose of the Epsom salt mixture.
After 2 hours you may begin to eat food again but keep your meals light. Start with fresh apple juice made from 5-6 apples. A half-hour after you may try a whole piece of fruit. One hour after begin consuming regular foods. By the evening you should feel back to normal and fully recovered.
Colonics Protocol
One aspect that remains consistent between all is that a Colonic session must be performed before and directly after the Liver Flush. When the colon is backed up with matter the performance of the gall bladder is hindered, as the bile ducts are not able to open and relax as freely as necessary.
When the non-calcified gall stones are extracted from the gall bladder they release an extremely high amount of toxins. If these toxins are left residing inside the colon they begin to be decomposed by bacteria rather than be eliminated from the body. This is why it is so crucial to perform a Colonic session directly after the ending of your gall bladder cleanse.
