What Is Eczema?
Eczema is an inflammatory skin disorder most often characterized by itching, redness, small bumps, and lesions. This condition affects people of all age groups, and is most prevalent amongst young children.
Eczema encompasses a wide range of skin conditions. The type can be atopic eczema, contact dermatitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, discoid eczema, pompholyz eczema, asteatotic eczema, and finally varicose eczema. These are often distinguished by the area of the body affected, as well as the physical look of the eczema rash itself.
What Are Common Symptoms?
Eczema is characterized by dry itchy skin that is overly sensitive. Skin is red, inflamed and often accompanied by small bumps, rough patches, oozing, and scabbing. Eczema can occur anywhere on the body; however, it is most commonly seen on the face and scalp, the hands, as well as behind the elbows and knees.
What Are the Causes?
The cause of eczema is unknown. Sometimes eczema can manifest has a result of an allergic reaction – but, this is not always the case. Eczema is not contagious and has been linked to environmental factors, a depressed immune system, genetics, and the skin’s general inability to function properly.
Overgrowth of certain strains of yeast and bacteria, such as Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus have been identified in individuals with eczema. A depressed digestive system can also be a contributing factor to skin disorders. In fact, some medical studies conclude that inflammatory bowel conditions and inflammatory skin diseases are linked.
What Steps Can We Take To Solve This?
It is essential that the colon be kept as clean as possible. The colon is made to store waste matter – but not forever. This waste material is highly toxic, and if not eliminated regularly and in a timely manner, maladies are sure to occur. Inner toxicity will naturally reflect externally, and the skin can be that reflection.
Colon hydrotherapy is a wonderful way of bringing hydration to the colon and flushing out toxic matter, before it can recirculate in the blood stream and cause problems. Regular colonic sessions can eventually reach the entire length of the colon and remove the toxicity that may have been stored there for years. Once this poison is removed from the body, skin functioning can finally improve. At Angel Hydrotherapy, our mission is to help you improve your overall health and quality of life. Call us!
