Colon hydrotherapy for constipation is one of the main reasons people book here.
Most people treat constipation like a one-day problem. Take something. Go. Forget it. The people who end up in our clinic have already done that. They’re straining, they’re incomplete, they’re three or four days in, or they’ve been “regular” on paper and still feel full. That’s a colon that’s not finishing the job.
What we’re actually doing
We use an open-system, gravity-fed colonic on a reclining toilet bed. You insert on your own. You run the fill. You release on your own. The room is private. The therapist is not in there with you.
Closed systems put you on a table and run water through a speculum on the machine’s terms. That’s not what we do. Open system means you’re in control of pressure and release the whole time.
Norman Walker
Dr. Norman Walker is the name that keeps coming back in colon work. He wasn’t a social-media gut coach. He spent years on a simple point: if the colon is backed up, the rest of the body is working around waste. He pushed water, food, and colon care instead of living on laxatives.
We’re not running his exact routine from the 1930s. What still holds is the order of operations. You can’t “reset the gut” if the exit is blocked. Motility first. Then food and minerals actually have somewhere to go.
What a colonic does for constipation and what it doesn’t
It can help the colon empty. That’s the honest sentence.
It does not rewire your diet. It does not fix a pelvic-floor problem by itself. It does not replace a workup if something else is going on. If you leave and go back to no water, no salt, no fibre you tolerate, and a 12-hour gap between meals that doesn’t work for you, you’ll be backed up again.
That’s why we don’t sell this as a single visit. A reset here is usually 4–6 sessions, booked no more than a week apart. After that, maintenance is your call. Candida, parasite, and weight-loss protocols are separate. You go through which one fits at intake.
Who should not book this for constipation
Read the contraindications on our FAQ before you book. Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, pregnancy, recent colon or abdominal surgery, severe bleeding hemorrhoids — no colonic. Don’t try to outsmart that list because you’re uncomfortable. The list exists because those cases belong in a different setting.
